A 5-star cuddle!
Hotel Cortina in Garda is truly a 5 star pampering! The environment is informal but really very clean, nothing is missing for those who want to enjoy a stress-free holiday! Gigi’s welcome is amazing and goes far beyond what is usually expected! Rich, quality and abundant breakfasts with particular attention to intolerances compete with 4 star hotels! Human warmth is friendship is what you take home after staying at Gigi’s! Super top!

Excellent staff
We stayed my partner and I at the Hotel Cortina, located right in the center of Garda. We were pleasantly impressed by the kindness of the staff, especially the owner, who allowed us to check in early, which is now rare, and was also extremely helpful in helping us with parking for the second day.
For me, these gestures of courtesy really make a difference and overshadow any other aspect. The hotel is not luxury, but of average standard, and this is absolutely not a problem: when you come to Garda you do not do it to spend the day in your room, but to enjoy the country and its beauties.
A simple experience but made special by the kindness of the staff.

Not valuable for your money
Awful hotel, only the location is5/5. One man (owner?) is unpolite: he loves german turists but other are like second class turists. He yells which is not good customer service. There should be more english instructions in the hotel. If u need breakfast box be ready that he dont want to give u that.
Rooms are oldish and one buf I saw there. If u go there keep your clothes inside luggage. Cleaners dosent come everyday and they dont want to do their job like chaching towels or vacuuming the floor. I paid over 800e for one week and should know this before that cleaners are just waiting your tip.
Ps. If u dont want to be cleaner change your career. Its your problem

An OK hotel for just to sleep in, if you dont mind not having proper bed and bedding.
We stayed at Cortina for 7 days this July. We booked via travel agency and didn't have much of a choice in hotels so we chose this one. I read reviews beforehand and it looked like it was going to be a nice hotel with nice and helpful staff. I emailed the hotel prior to arrival asking for a parking space, to which they replied yes. There were few spaces in front of the hotel. However when we arrived, we were told we can't park the car in front (others did however throughout the week) but instead about 1km away to a public parking space.
None of this was mentioned in the email, that parking was so far away. Through the whole week Luigi seemed annoyed with us, hardly said anything and made us feel unwanted customers. Older lady, younger man and woman at breakfast were great though.
Bed was not very good, only 1 superflat pillow on the bed, no duvets just a sheet to sleep on. We asked for another set of pillows and were given them, but we ended up buying new, proper pillows from a shop. Air-con, although it being super hot 36-38C everyday, was turned off in the evening for the night, so it was never cool in the room. It worked bad. A fridge would have been good to be able to have cold drinks in the room.
Breakfast is not buffet, its served to your table with selection of hams, tomato, cheese, rolls, orange juice and croissant. Also a choice of coffees are served. Varying by day, they also bring a dish, one day scrambled egg, another some bean dish. Most were disgusting (and they did not ask if we want them, so felt bad not eating them).
Location was great and gladly we had so much to do everyday that we only slept in the room and for that it was ok. Next time though, we'd choose a different hotel.

The Hotel in heart of Garda
Superb hotel in old town Garda
If you prefer small family owned clean and simple hotel in the heart of old town Garda - Cortina is the best choise for you
Rooms are quite small with a small balconys, but the narrow street of old town would be your balcony just open the back door and you are in !
Both boat and bus terminal are a few steps away from hotel so it is very easy to travel without a car also. If you prefer to explore Lake Garda and other part of north Italy ( f.e Dolomites ) by car the hotel will arrange you a parking place as well.
Breakfast was marvellous as many people has mentioned earlier also - they serve part of it to tables and part of it is self service. You live with it almost whole day.
And the last but not least must mention the owner Luigi, very friendly and helpful boss who works almost round the clock to please his customers ❤️
