LIGHT THE SOUL WITH TASTE
The gastronomic route is amazing. The flavors are clean, elegant, deep. Each dish is a story that combines territory and creativity, tradition and technique. The raw materials are excellent and treated with almost poetic respect. The wine list, rich and reasoned, accompanies the journey without ever overlooking it.
The service is of an absolute level: professional and able to make the guest feel the center of attention. The spaces are cared for and immersed in a relaxing atmosphere. Ca’ Matilde is one of those places where you go to eat well, but you come back to feel good. A must for those who love cooking that really excites. Very good!

WELL ORGANIZED AND WELL FINISHED BED AND BREAKFAST, BUT A LITTLE EXPENSIVE
Former farmhouse in the countryside surrounding Quattro Castella, it is run by a young and very friendly lady, who made us sit in a very spacious and well-finished room, albeit with fairly spartan decor. On site there is also a restaurant that however on the day of our overnight stay was not active.
The surrounding countryside is beautiful to see but (common in the area) the air is weighed down by the scents of animals from neighboring farms (in the area Parmigiano Reggiano is produced). Obviously the smell is still bearable after a bit of “habit” and practically non-existent if you close the windows and use air conditioning.
Improveable breakfast as a variety (perhaps even introducing savory foods and a greater choice of sweet ones).
Relatively expensive price compared to other environments, also in relation to the location and quality of services offered.

A recommended stop, meets high expectations
The dinner was a discovery with every dish, textures and flavors alternated with skill in many dishes, in particular we want to remember the Rice Bomb, an apt name for an explosion of flavours, and the memory of my rice cake (a sweet ) appreciated by me but still praised by my wife today.
A very pleasant culinary experience in a pleasant, well-kept environment and a little away from the chaos. Advised

Small locanda with basic room and an excellent Michelin Star restaurant
Disappointing was: (1) no opportunity to sit in the garden with olive trees and enjoy a drink prior the dinner so we went to the nearby Golf restaurant, (2) the owner couple had no time to welcome us, neither in the locanda nor in the restaurant.
