Never again
The last stop before going to the airport is never easy—but Terranova49 in Novara made sure it was really unpleasant.
With 4 + 3 suitcases and the afternoon sun beating at 32°C, we were shocked to find that the main gate of the lodge could not be opened for unloading. Why is that? Nobody had a key. That’s right—guests forced to drag their suitcases under the scorching sun, without access to the entrance of the facility. And since there is no parking either, we had to leave the car in a side street and carry everything by hand, sweaty and tired.
But it doesn't end there. Once inside, we found that the air conditioning "hadn't been turned on yet—because it's not season yet." You tell that to the thermometer that was 25.8°C in the room. Sleeping? A malapena. Comfort? Nobody.
As the icing on the cake, at dawn we saw the garbage collector open the same gate... with a code. So the keys weren't even needed. All it took was a little logic and organization.
Is this Italian hospitality? If so, for my part no “goodbye”—just a dry BYE BYE.
Newfoundland49, next time try treating paying customers... like customers.
