It happened at the inn.
Until then, I wanted to repeat it, but there was a mysterious incident in the public bath at night. There's one for the red glowing security camera, and I wonder if it's in the bathroom to prevent theft. I only thought so, but when I went to the public bath early the next morning, the camera that glowed like this yesterday was missing, and I had a gut feeling that there was an unnatural hole in the ceiling, and when I checked with the manager, he told me that I must have misjudged it, and he didn't understand my feelings either, so I asked the police to intervene. I wanted to have fun and still go sightseeing if it was true, and I wanted to go home feeling good. That's it. The police are now investigating the women's public bath. I just wanted to stay here feeling good, but that happened, and the trip was ruined without a word from the manager, the landlady, or anyone saying that I was sorry to upset you. I went home feeling bad.

Excellent stay! We’d book again for sure!
I have allergies to fish and seafood (difficult allergies in Japan) and the hotel accommodated me with delicious dinners every night and good options at the breakfast buffet in the mornings.
The location couldn't be better~ mid mountain at the top of one gondola and the bottom of a second. 1 min walk to trail! The onsen was wonderful and a treat at the end of a long day of skiing.
We chatted with another couple who were on their 7th trip to Shiga Kogen but first to Hotel Higashidate. They said the food and service at Hotel Higashidate were far better than any they encountered in the other hotels they had stayed in previously in Shiga Kogen.
We rented a car and drove from Narita (4.5-5 hours drive). the morning of our check out the hotel quietly arranged for our car to be warm and snow cleared off before we left!
I would book again at the Hotel Higashidate without hesitation. We look forward to our return!
