Relaxing onsen week

We spent a wonderful week at Ryudo onsen. I have read many other reviews in different languages where people complain that the cleanliness is not for the best and similar things. Things like that always depend on what you expect. This onsen is certainly not the latest and has a longer history. For us However, everything was positive here: our rooms actually suite you would probably have to say with separate bedrooms, living room, bathroom and private garden onsen if you like we liked very much and we have recovered here a week very well. That this place has 18 different bathrooms and also differently designed bathrooms as separates is now the scoop.
The food is great every day there was typical Japanese breakfast and dinner with a lively selection of vegetables, meat and fish dishes. Nature is beautiful and invites you to take longer walks. The lobby is cozy warm and with the free wi-fi for people who don't have Japanese phones extremely convenient. We came all the way from Munich and I guess it won't have been the last time.

It sucks.

I made a reservation in the morning and evening during the Bon festival. A few days after booking, I received a notification that I was overbooked and could only prepare for a no-show.
The room price is quite low There was an appeal, but there seems to be nothing around, and if you are staying without meals, the room is left ready, so it is a pretty bullish statement.
I was quite angry at the way they handled the phone calls, which I could only see from the top, because we couldn't stay there without staying even though it was our own mismanagement. This is the worst response. Of course, I decided to cancel and go to another inn.

The bath was good, though.

I stayed at the West Wing, but it smells musty anyway!!
Just entering the room made me sick.
The food was not tasty, with cheap ingredients. Cheese fondue was served, but it was poor, with hardened French bread, boiled sweet potatoes and two slices of wiener.
This is just a bath. A one-day bath is enough.
I don't want to stay here again!

Outstanding Onsen Hotel

This onsen hotel was great! Some of the riverside baths have views to die for! We were so lucky that it snowed the days we were there which added to the ambiance. The food was also good but not the focal point of our visit. They have wifi available in the lobby but my AU cellphone had no signal there. SoftBank has 3G coverage throughout the property. We will definitely return to this hotel!

温泉付きの部屋はお勧めです。

今回で７回目ですが、前回と今回は半露天の温泉付きの部屋を利用しました。湯めぐりできる温泉はごく一部にしか洗い場がありませんが、温泉付き客室は隣接でシャワー付きの洗い場があります。洗った後直ぐに温泉に入れて冬の寒い時でも問題ありません。夏の暑い時でも裸のまま部屋に戻れます。お値段高めですが、次回も利用します。貸切風呂は以前全部制覇したので今回は音龍だけ利用しました。音龍は川沿いの温泉で広くて気持ちいいので毎回入ってます。食事は夕、朝とも個室で周りを気にせづにいただけるので、それも毎年来る理由の一つです。ナマズのお造りはここでしか食べれません。今年初めて日光から金精峠を通って来ましたが、2回目はないです。車が運転できるうちは毎年来たいです。
