Good choice for Nouakchott

Agree with other posts that this is a solid choice for this particular city/country. And probably the best hotel I stayed in over 10 nights (although the standard generally is VERY basic). Friendly front of house. Safe, comfortable rooms. One caveat. It was Ramadan and it would have been nice if the dining room staff (or any staff) warn guests they’re going to drop tools at sunset for 45 minutes whilst they eat their own food. Absolutely they need to eat but if you’re told in advance you can get fed first. Frankly I wouldn’t pick this time to travel here as everything is closed all day and it detracts significantly from your experience. Mauritania has built a tourism school which, allegedly, is opening this year.

The room was cleaned, but there was a minor power outage, no generator backup, and very slow internet. Great short stay, and a place to sleep

A night of rest

Small room with balcony: very clean, quiet and complete with everything you need to rest satisfactorily after a long flight. Great wifi. Slippers provided, hairdryer and toiletries.
Sweet and savoury breakfast buffet. Friendly staff

Very solid choice in Nouakchott

Stayed two nights (although the first night I arrived at 05:00 am). Modern hotel in a fairly quiet location. Clean room with very comfortable bed and pillows. Well located power sockets and well lit desk area. Amenities included a safe (didn’t try it), electric kettle (with mismatched plug and no adapter) and a wobbly mini-fridge. A/C worked well.
Bathroom with everything in working order. Shower with good water pressure, but half-door inevitably results in getting the floor wet when showering. Towels were clean but rough and scratchy.
Wifi worked well.
Breakfast buffet with reasonable selection.
Overall not perfect, but a very solid choice.

Excellent hotel

Excellent experience, I have stayed at this hotel 3 times since 2023, very good service, very clean room, very good food, perfect internet connection, the staff is always smiling and available..
I highly recommend this hotel.
