Offering an outdoor pool, Casa Babi is a cosy guest house located on the central beach of Vilanculos. Free WiFi access is available throughout. Each of the 4 bedrooms has a private balcony where guests can enjoy views of the Bazaruto Archipelago.

A "coup de coeur stay " with stunning views upon the magnificent endless multicolored beaches
To start with, the location is great, overlooking the endless beach (at low tide, looks like the huge D Day beaches, just with the amazing deep green blue yellow shaded tropical sea colours you see only in this part of the world) with its rich life going on: fishermen, market people, women coming at high tide to sort out and wash the fish etc. Sitting comfortably in a lounge chair on the cliff you can gaze for ever at this rapidly changing quite landscape where light scupltures the horizon in various layers of blue, green, yellow and white and the picturesques traditional boats animate this otherwise quite landscape.
The rooms are very clean and neat and comfortable, bedding is extremely good waranting for good sleeping nights, showers have good pressure and wifi is excellent for a change :-) . The restaurant serves a limited number of excellent proposals (talented female cook) with a limited list of good winesto go with.
Sabrina, the owner does her outmost to help you making a success of your holiday and not only is the place very quite and great to rest but it offers a lot of various thrilling activities.
Beyond the great beach walks at low tide and swimming in the sea or the swimmingpool, we tested :
-> the excellent PADDI Dive Center operated by Cas Babi (diving or snokeling are both worth doing, on two miles reef to start with)
-> the one day excursion to Paradise Island ( met many dolphins on the way, very close to the boat, saw 20 black fin reef sharks hunting fish, 30 turtles swimming arround the boat and during the snorkeling a pride of barracudas from pretty close, hundreds of sweet lipfish and countless of caranguas. The lunch with fantastically well grilled lobsters on the beach almost alone was a wonder.
-> The horse back 1H30 walks at Mozambik's Horse Safari run by Pat & Mandy: just awesome not to mention the swimming in the ocean with the great well groomed horses
To make it short, you can easily spend a good week here without getting bored: plenty of nice things to do.
The team is well managed and smiling and nice. We loved the place.

Lovely boutique hotel in great location
We spent 5 nights here and enjoyed it. The GH is run very well by the local staff and the food (French flavour) is excellent, though a set menu each day. Our (upstairs) room had a lovely view of the beach where something was always going on. Nice small pool and bar/lounge areas too. Note that most people who stay here are French. Lovely gardens.
Arrangements for activities were a bit more problematic - perhaps because Sabrina was away? But we communicated with her by WhatsApp and she got everything back on track very efficiently! Snorkelling trip out to Bazaruto Islands was great, as was the cooking class with Zita. Also try the snorkeling at low tide right outside the GH to see the sea-horses!

Unfortunately, the issue didn’t come from our team — which would have been easy to fix — but from the unreliable communication of the young guide who takes care of the sea-horses tour. He is a wonderful guide, but not always the most responsive. Thanks to your feedback, we now know exactly how to ensure he stays on track in the future.

Extraordinary stay
We stayed 5 days in this little haven of peace by the sea in the heart of the village. The meals are delicious and refined, served with care. There is variety in the menus and love in the plates. The staff is very kind, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our mornings animated by the fishermen, not to mention the great beauty of the landscapes. Thank you for your welcome, Sabrina and Denis!

Superb address
The whole team is very careful. Every detail is pleasant: neat decoration, exceptional breakfast, diving center nearby and especially good advice to keep busy. Sabrina knows the place very well and knows how to answer every question. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The setting is enchanting
