Great Views, Great People!

Had the most wonderful stay at Vila La Mar. We were lucky enough to stay beach front side with the most gorgeous views. Lida was super helpful and catered to us whenever we had any issues resolving them quickly. Would recommend for anyone to stay here! Even better than the photos.

Holiday Stay at Vill La Mar

We had a wonderful stay at Villa La Mar in June 2025. The staff and management were truly exceptional—friendly, attentive, and quick to respond to any request. The beds were incredibly comfortable, with high-quality linen, and the towels were fluffy and fresh.
The self-catering villa was fully equipped with every appliance you could think of, making it feel just like home. The braai area was a real highlight, complete with a pizza oven for our use—perfect for relaxed evenings.
The sea views were absolutely breathtaking and made our stay even more memorable.
Highly recommended!

Horrible.

Villa 5, view of the boat garage, from the kitchen, view of the parking lot and a half sea view! The Wi-Fi is in the common area, so nothing in the villa! The villa smells of fuel and moisture, no questioning the owners who are horrible! We are currently there and had to rent elsewhere, so we have 2 rentals! At your own risk!

Perfect choice for self-catering accommodation in Vilanculos

This self-catering place was a perfect choice for our time in Vilanculos (before and after a sailing trip in the area). The sea facing villas are absolutely amazing, with a marvellous deck to watch the sun rise and a beautiful attic sleeping area perfect for kids. The owners Lida and Christo were extremely helpful, they picked us up and took us back to the airport and they provided very valuable advice when LAM cancelled our flight back to Maputo. We also ate at Kilimanjaro Café - also owned by Lida and Christo - a couple of times and the food was really nice.

We loved the space inside the house. We were four people in total, and it was very comfortable for our two adult children and us to hang out in the living room, breakfast bar, or outside on the patio. The pool was just a few steps from the patio, very clean and comfortable, and very welcome in the hot days in January! There are a handful of restaurants within 10 min. walk, which we took advantage of on the nights we didn’t cook inside the villa.
