Trip of a lifetime to Nepal

The Sparkling Turtle has been absolutely wonderful for my vacation in Kathmandu, Nepal. The hostel is operated by the owner and everyone has been very friendly, helpful, courteous and kind. Any questions or help I have needed has been met with the highest level of diligence. I have stayed here for one month and every day has been absolutely fantastic.

A fantastic experience

A very good experience. Fantastic location with a great view. Very friendly staff, family runner, helps with everything from driving, cleaning clothes, buying clothes... Very clean rooms and hostal, lots of plants, unique decoration and very quiet. A great atmosphere. I been travelling for six years now, the best experience. I give it 10/10 points

Great place!

I had a wonderful stay at this hostel. The staff are incredibly kind, caring, and always willing to help in any way they can. They genuinely make you feel welcome and supported throughout your stay.
I was also impressed by how clean, organized, and well-maintained everything was. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into keeping the place comfortable and pleasant for guests.
I highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a warm, friendly, and well-kept place to stay. Thank you for such a great experience!

Amazing hospitality, clean rooms & fast Wi-Fi

I stayed at Sparkling Turtle Hostel for 14 days in a private room and had a wonderful experience. The owners and their family are incredibly welcoming and hospitable — they truly make you feel at home. The place is very safe, clean, and well maintained.
The location is excellent, with easy access to everything you need in Kathmandu, yet it still feels calm and comfortable. One big highlight for me was the internet: fast and reliable, which made it a great place for remote work.
This visit was especially meaningful because I first stayed here 11 years ago, and returning again last month felt just as special. The warmth, quality, and atmosphere have been consistently excellent over the years.
Highly recommended for solo travelers, long stays, and digital nomads looking for a friendly and dependable place in Kathmandu.
