Good motel within walking distance of the city & harbour

The motel is centrally located to the port and many restaurants/pubs etc. - Friendly reception, we got the usual small bottle of milk for coffee etc. - Good and convenient parking near the room. - Relatively large room, no air conditioning, but you could open the windows even in the bathroom so that draft came up. So it became pleasantly cool in the room. - Large room, good beds, unfortunately little storage for 2 suitcases. - Good bath and shower. - Small kitchenette with kettle etc. - Everything well maintained and clean.

Good bed, quiet and very clean studio . Manager very efficient and friendly. Cleaning staff exceptional. Car parking a huge plus.
And excellent proximity to good restaurants and buses. Plus a hike up Mt Vic on a fine day worth while as is the walk round Oriental Bay

Average city hotel....

The hotel is very well located right in the center, parking available. The room is comically divided, very musty, grindy carpeting, much too soft mattress. All right, for one night, that's all we could take.

On the hill and close to the city this hotel’s staff are pleasant and helpful

By Majoribanks Street which is one of the main streets leading down into the city, this location would be hard to beat. It’s walking distance to the Te Papa museum and other attractions.
We had no issues parking there. The bed was excellent, the rooms were clean and both the reception and the cleaners were very pleasant. This will be our future place to stay, thankyou.

Near to town with parking.

We have had two nights here. The rooms are clean and functional and within walking distance to town. They have comfy beds and lovely hot water in the bathroom. There is a kitchen area with microwave and fridge. The television has only a few channels which is unusual these days. We were very comfortable although the rooms are rather dated and could do with some modernising.
