There is much to improve...

It takes some adaptive spirit. The hotel is one of the few accommodation options in this small town in the middle of the desert. It's a bit out of line with the core of the city, located across the highway from the latter, an isolated building. The rooms are spacious and the structure would not even be so bad, it would take very little to make the experience much better. Unfortunately the cleanliness leaves something to be desired, the bathrooms are disaster, with an open shower flooding the entire room and the toilet leaking from the water pipes connected to the wall. No toiletries offered. Near the reception there would be a lounge bar equipped with all the equipment (coffee machine etc.), but it is inexplicably closed, so you can not even have a coffee in the morning. They are provided, that yes, small bottles of water in reasonable quantities. In the morning we woke up around 7.30 and there was no water coming out of the taps, they probably turn it off late in the evening. I had to go halfway around the hotel to find the receptionist who turned on the water. The beds are quite comfortable, too bad it's full of mosquitoes (!), you don't know how, in the middle of the desert. They work well wifi and TV with lots of channels. For dinner, take your car and head to Haima's "center", where you will find several restaurants where you can eat well and cheaply. For breakfast I absolutely recommend the Luxury Café in downtown Haima: rather high prices, but delicious cappuccino and great desserts. Haima city centre is a five-minute drive away. In conclusion, being one of the very few properties in the city and with prices that are anything but cheap, this hotel could offer greater comfort and cleanliness with little effort, so as to satisfy more international clientele.

Halfway house

Situated halfway between Muscat and Salalah Haima Hotel is almost the only alternative. The rooms are clean, but facilities are non-existent. No soap, no toilet paper, no glasses, strange shower, no possibility for breakfast. It is really very basic, but the beds are fine and the rooms are spacious.

Good stopover in Heima for one night

Hotel opened 2 months ago. Large, very clean white rooms, with small refrigerator, air conditioning and wifi that works perfectly. Excellent welcome by the two very committed young employees. 20 OMR. So quite expensive for the level of service.

OK for a night but don't expext loo paper!

The accommodation itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. It's a new hotel and judging by the number of new air-conditioning units stored in the room opposite from us, it's still being fitted out.
There was no loo paper in our bathroom so my partner asked one of the three staff members if he could have some. My partner was told they do not have toilet paper because they clean themselves with the hand-held water spray/shower next to toilet . They did give him a box of tissues though!
