Kindness people!
Nestled just a few steps away from the Huacachina oasis, the accommodation offers a decently sized room with two beds and a compact bathroom. One of the highlights was enjoying breakfast with a delightful pool view.
The establishment boasts a lovely bar area and staff who are exceptionally friendly. They graciously allowed me to linger beyond check-out time, enabling me to bask in the pool and securely store my luggage until my next bus. Their kindness was truly appreciated!
After returning for my luggage post-dinner, they even extended the gesture of allowing me to freshen up with a shower. Such thoughtful hospitality made my stay memorable!

You could feel every feather
The beds were not ideally equipped, you woke up with back pain. You could feel the individual springs.

Beautiful
We stayed two nights.
Pros:
Excellent location.
Beautiful common area and pool.
Great guys working at reception, super friendly, with tons of good information, they made the stay great!
Nice bar area.
Cons:
Wifi is mediocre.
There is no kitchen.
The buggy tour they hooked us up with left half an hour late and wasn’t great - some of the boards were super old and barely slid on the sand, I was unlucky enough to get one of those.

Good value hostal, nice staff
The room was clean, had enough space and actually everything was fine. The manager is very nice and speaks very good english. Not the people in the night, and there are some, who are more helpful, and others, who just play further on their phone without a glimpse of you, if you ask for something (like soap). They have a very nice garden and an awesome pool with some hammocks around. Be aware, if you are in one of the rooms around the pool, you can't sleep fridays and saturdays, because there is a party.

Filthy, dirty, unprofessional, unfriendly
My dad and I were on a road trip to Nasca so we decided to stay for a night in Ica. When we arrived at the bus terminal one of the taxi drivers approached us. He offered a ride and also some recommendation. I had found different hostels/hotels online in Ica but after talking to the taxi driver I decided to go with “Hospedaje Rocha”. He told us this hostel is run a family and a good, clean and affordable place to stay. When getting there he brought us to the reception to make the payment. Since the apartment wasn’t ready we were asked to wait a bit. So we decided to wait at the pool area. Mind you that from the beginning we entered that hostel until we left there was no welcome greeting or detailed/professional information while we were waiting. We wanted to sit next to the reception but someone was sleeping there. The family was running around not caring about guests. It was such a weird situation. Everything was more than dirty and the staff/family couldn’t care less about us. As we were tired we decided to wait and see what the room looked like. I asked for WiFi and the info they gave me was wrong. They didn’t care and were annoyed when we asked. Mind you this is basic information. Then I asked a lady who seemed to belong to the staff/family. She then proudly said: I’m the owner. She then left saying, well if they told you to wait just wait. After 45 minutes we could finally enter the room. It looked like a “love hotel” it was dark and more than old and dirty. The bathroom door had no lock (a huge hole) and the mattress looked disgusting. I decided to call the taxi driver to call him out about this recommendation. 10 min later the reception guy came and asked what was wrong. He was obviously annoyed. I listed everything and told him that we are 2 ppl and we only have one tiny towel. He just looked us and didn’t say a word. I told him that we would check out ASAP. He then told me that he could only pay back 30 soles instead of 60 which was ridiculous. I said it’s ok as I just wanted to leave that horrible place. He then asked me to give back the receipt. I asked why? He said: I don’t know, they told me so. Of course I kept my receipt. I guess they didn’t want me to have proof I was there. They knew I would complain or right a review. These ppl just don’t care. They have a dog. I hope they take better care of this animal than of the guest. Of all years traveling I never had such a bad experience. A hostel is not a five star hotel but it should be clean and safe.
