Enjoyable stay - would choose to stay here again

The hotel's location is excellent in the more upmarket northern part of the city centre.
When we arrived at the hotel at around 2am, we were gratefully upgraded to a very spacious suite on the 8th floor in view of my Radisson Rewards VIP status, which also gave us access to the executive lounge.
When we got inside the suite, the loud fan in the bathroom wouldn't turn off. This was initially frustrating so late at night when we want to sleep, but when I reported it, maintenance arrived within 5 minutes and fixed it immediately. This was very impressive service, particularly in the middle of the night.
The temperature in the suite was ideal with very little need to use the air conditioning, despite hot outdoor temperatures in late May. The bed was very comfortable with a good quality of sleep, and the blackout curtains were effective, although the pillows could have been more comfortable. Although the hotel was holding a noisy outdoor event one night, this fortunately ended at 10pm.
There were plentiful power sockets all around the suite in the most convenient places, but no USB sockets. The internet seemed to be capped at around 30Mbps upstream and downstream. As for the television, it is incredibly frustrating to find that a major European hotel fails to cater to English-speaking travellers from its own continent. Rather than offering relevant pan-European English-language news channels, the in-room television options are restricted to American news channels like CNN. These channels focus overwhelmingly on US domestic politics and local concerns, which carry little to no relevance for European guests. For a hotel operating in a major European market, providing a balanced selection of regional English-language programming should be a basic hospitality standard, not an afterthought.
Of our four nights, we had breakfast in the executive lounge on three mornings and in the main breakfast room downstairs on one morning. Both were excellent. Although the breakfast downstairs had more food options on display, as to be expected given the additional space, we preferred the overall quality of breakfast in the executive lounge, as well as the view across Bucharest. A special mention must go to Marius in the executive lounge; staff of this calibre are more typically found at the world's top hotels such as the Ritz in London.
Dressing gowns and slippers were supplied, but there were no flannels or bars of soap, which were significant omissions for a hotel of this standard. The bathroom in our suite, although very spacious, was not particularly well designed. The shower cubicle had only an overhead rainfall shower and no handheld shower. Presumably it was designed by a man who washes his hair every time he has a shower. The shower is impractical for female guests who don't want to get their hair wet every time they use it. Although there was a handheld shower in the bath, there was no shower screen so one couldn't stand up. This impractical design needs a rethink. The water pressure was low with both showers, possibly because of the choice of shower heads.
A disappointingly unusual aspect of this hotel is its approach to the outdoor pool. Across the international hospitality industry, it is a well-established norm that a hotel's outdoor pool functions primarily as an included amenity for overnight residents, with commercial access for external non-residents serving only as a secondary revenue stream. Instead this property treats its outdoor pool as a commercial beach club first and foremost, charging standard overnight guests at least RON 100 for access and heavily prioritising external day-visitors. Deviating from standard industry practices in this manner is entirely unmerited for a premium brand, alienating paying residents who reasonably expect full access to core leisure facilities as part of their room rate. Fortunately Radission Rewards VIP members are not charged for access, but still need to reserve. Bizarrely given the hotel's monetisation of the pool, it doesn't open until 1st June, only 3 weeks before midsummer day, even when outdoor temperatures in late May are around 30°C with clear sunny skies.
We gratefully received late checkout until 3pm in view of my Radisson Rewards VIP status.
Finally a special mention must go to Mihaela, who not only found resourceful workarounds to issues above, but even gave us helpful advice about an unusual trip we made outside Bucharest.

Dear NFH,
Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful review following your recent stay with us.
We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed our location, your suite upgrade, the Executive Lounge experience, and especially the service provided by our team members. It is wonderful to know that our overnight maintenance response impressed you and that Marius and Mihaela made such a positive impact on your stay. Your kind words about their professionalism and attentiveness will certainly be shared with them and the wider team.
We are also pleased that you appreciated the comfort of the suite, the breakfast offerings, the views from the Executive Lounge, and the late check-out arranged as part of your Radisson Rewards VIP benefits.
At the same time, we sincerely appreciate your constructive feedback regarding several aspects of your experience. Your comments concerning the television channel selection, bathroom design, shower practicality, pillow comfort, pool access policy, and in-room amenities have been noted carefully. Feedback of this level of detail is extremely valuable to us as it helps identify areas where we can improve both our facilities and overall guest experience.
We understand your concerns regarding the outdoor pool concept and access arrangements, and we appreciate you sharing your perspective on how this compares with international hospitality standards. Likewise, your observations regarding English-language television programming and bathroom functionality provide important insight into the expectations of our international guests.
Thank you once again for your balanced and comprehensive review. We are very pleased that, despite the points raised, you would choose to stay with us again, and we truly look forward to welcoming you back to Bucharest in the future.
Kind regards,

Lovely time

This was mine and my partners first time in Romania, Bucharest we stayed here for 3 nights.
We arrived and unfortunately got scammed by a yellow taxi when a manager realised what was going on it was too late and we made the payment but the manager informed us not to use the yellow taxis instead use bolt or Uber.
We got to check in our room at 12:45pm which was great, room was clean. I couldn't believe they give you a free complimentary mini bar this isn't usually heard of in a city. This was a nice touch.
The room itself felt a bit basic bed was comfy but the bathroom was a bit outdated and I believe there was a drainage issue but other than that ok we had a room facing the front of the hotel but was quiet at night.
We used the nami beach club twice shame that you have to pay extra to use it but imagine this is due to it being owned by something else but is a shame. I would advise booking this online as it gets very busy. The food was amazing at the pool and the drinks and was a lovely enjoyable atmosphere.
We unfortunately didn't try the restaurants on site so cannot advise apart from breakfast that we paid for with the room which was really nice.
The location is good about 10-15 minute walk into the old town.
Staff pleasant and friendly. Apart from the one we were watching the England game in the outside bar and he just without saying anything turned the TV off in the middle or the game and kept the other TVs people were sat at on, this was a bit rude I understand maybe they were closing and he didn't know how to explain but he could of said something like closed go inside or something as the game was still on in the inside bar the bar wasn't open but the TV was left on so we went inside and watched it.
One thing I wish the hotel have is more presence of security at night I understand the hotel is open to the public but when coming back to the hotel a bit late there were what I call dodgy people outside the hotel such as woman who were approaching my partner asking if they would like Business if you get my drift... As well as a couple of beggars this was a bit off putting.
Although set aside I would recommend this hotel and would come back.

A great name, but not here. The lobby is very noisy while the street is much calmer 🙁.
The pool was open for two days and closed for maintenance for the rest of the stay, I was offered a substitute but a shuttle is needed.
The room was near emergency stairs and the door was slammed all the time.
The staff were very nice and cooperative. 🌹.
I really did not like the towels prices in case of loss in Hebrew and English language ONLY.

Quite the Hotel

Fancier than our usual hotel but we ended up here for three nights because our room in the sister hotel around the corner was flooded. They did, however, treat us like royalty, providing breakfast every day. We were actually booked in here for one night with an Emerald Cruse.
The hotel was lovely and the room spacious, The in room bar was free until you needed a refill. The hotel was close to restaurants and a reasonable walk from the old town. Breakfast was the best I have ever had at a hotel. Hate to ask what we would have paid!
Nonetheless, a great welcome to Bucharest.

First house on the square, everything top.

Probably the first house on the square, all very spacious and rooms very good Radisson standard, nothing more and nothing less. Super central location, you can walk everywhere. Unpleasant is that you have to pay extra for the pool area.
