York Hotel Stay
I often choose to stay at York Hotel whenever I visit Singapore, and it never disappoints. The hotel’s location near Orchard Road is a major advantage, making it easy to access malls and shopping areas. The overall situation of the hotel is always pleasant, providing comfort and convenience throughout my stay.
A special highlight of my recent visit was the exceptional service from Mr. Zaim Baharom at the front desk. He handled my check-in smoothly and helped resolve a reservation issue with professionalism and efficiency. His assistance made the experience even more enjoyable, and I truly appreciate the warm hospitality.
Overall, York Hotel continues to be my preferred choice in Singapore — reliable, well-situated, and staffed with people who go the extra mile. Highly recommended for both leisure and business travelers.

Great location for those who wants to be near Orchard Rd. The room was very spacious for our family of 4. Beds were also comfortable and big. No complaints.

Bad/Dangerous Lobby for a Great Hotel. Case of poor change management.
No hotel staff or insufficient staff to help guests at lobby facing Scotts Road. New GrabCar pickup point moved to this lobby from the other Mt Elizabeth lobby. But all the hotel staff still hanging around at old Mt Elizabeth lobby because luggage storage room and bellman counter is still there. Lacking chairs or seats at Scotts Road lobby for guests who need assistance while waiting for transport. Floor tiles at that lobby is also very slippery when wet; your hotel bellman himself almost slipped and fell while helping me with luggage. Putting up a sign to warn slippery floor is not the right answer; suggest grinding the floor tiles to provide better shoe grip. The hotel should do a thorough review of the impact to hotel guests as a result of this change which has increased the use of the previously sleepy Scotts Road lobby for GrabCar pickup. And make the necessary changes including adequate signage in the lobby and receptionist informing guest during check-in process about the change, relocate luggage storage and bellman station to that lobby, etc etc. I believe these are sufficient suggestions for the hotel to take serious action. I gave this feedback verbally to a senior-looking staff at the lobby, he said he will inform his management. Otherwise, York Hotel is a great choice for location, cleanliness, service and value. I care, so I write.

We are also pleased to hear that you appreciated the shift of the Grab pickup point to the lobby facing Scotts Road.
We are sorry that assistance was not readily visible when it was needed. As our team members are also required to attend to luggage handling and guest requests in other areas of the hotel and may therefore not always be stationed at the driveway. In this case, guests may also approach our Front Desk or Security team on duty, who will be pleased to assist.
That said, we recognise that staff visibility is particularly important at the designated Grab pick-up point. We will therefore review how assistance at the Scotts Road driveway can be made more visible and readily accessible.
We also appreciate your thoughtful suggestion to relocate the Bell Desk, luggage storage facilities and transport assistance counter. Due to the hotel’s existing structural configuration, relocating these facilities is currently not feasible. Nevertheless, your recommendation may be considered should the hotel undertake a full-scale refurbishment in future.
In the meantime, we will evaluate practical measures to improve wayfinding and provide clearer transport pick-up information at the hotel’s pick-up and drop-off points.
