Once again a lovely stay❤️

I love this Inn, really friendly management and staff with fires burning in all the gathering areas to add that moutain inn ambience and to stave off the ‘8 months of winter and the remaining 4 months of extreme winter’ as equally lamented at and boasted of by the locals.
I Loved the breakfasts and suppers. A charming and historic place to stay in a most magical destination. One of my favourites ❤️ the River-side suites particularly charming as these have their own fireplaces

Bad experience

Sadly the day when Hogsback Inn was lovely is now absolutely terrible in every way. The hotel is so run down. We do not recommend anyone staying at hotel.

Great room in a historic inn in the middle of Hoggsback. Service was virtually nonexistent, and the food was disappointing.

Cosy pub

Enjoyed early drinks in the pub, lovely atmosphere. Barman specially lit the fire for us. We went back for dinner. The food was great, (small menu) the staff super friendly. Warm and cosy pub on a very miserable rainy day. Next time we visit Hogsback we will definitely stay at the Inn.

Hogsback Inn sadly disappointing

This establishment needs to be upgraded.
Not what we expected at all.
They advertise they have a generator for Loadshedding which didn't work. It kept tripping. But reception and bar and restuarant had electricity.
The staff very friendly and efficient.
A charge for a gas heater extra.
Restuarant food was delicious but took 2 hours to be served.
