Nice hotel with good service

Scandic Alvik is located approximately 4.5 km from Stockholm City and is easy to reach by public transportation or car. Tax parking near the hotel. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and got a room on the 10th floor overlooking Stockholm City. The room was newly renovated and nice. It had iron / ironing board, water kettle, small writing desk etc.
They have a gym on the 4th floor that has weights, balls, treadmill, crosstrainer and bicycle. Towels and detergent are also available.
The breakfast room is newly renovated and in fine colors and the groceries beautifully arranged with a good selection. I was very happy with the stay and the breakfast.

Nice quiet location not too far from the city center. Very well connected. Nice bright rooms and good breakfast. Would stay there again.

Disappointed!

Text: Good hotel in every way, but big minus when the bar closed earlier than stated. Admittedly a Monday night, but early to close a little after eleven instead of half past twelve as was stated.

Excellent hotel, good value for the money.

A perfect hotel for both families and business travellers. The rooms were spotlessly clean, the bedding was comfortable and the staff was super friendly. We've chosen the option with breakfast, which had an excellent choice of good-quality, fresh products. There are also lots of amenities and foods available to purchase at the reception. The hotel itself is conviniently located, right next to the transport hub, allowing you to quickly hop on the metro, tram or a bus. Excellent value for the money, would definately recommend.

Brilliant hotel and staff are lovely

I can't praise the staff enough at this hotel. We have used it many times and it is a favourite. The overnight receptionist (early hours Thursday 23rd July 26) deserves a special thank you. I had booked an Uber well in advance to get me to the airport at silly hour (when no one else was awake or functioning) The Uber was a no show (be warned) The receptionist rang a number of local taxi companies without any success but kept trying for me. He eventually found me a taxi which turned up 10 mins later (& a great service from Taxi Stockholm 150000) So grateful to the Scandic staff member. So cheerful, so positive - I can't imagine the same service like this in the UK??
