Great Lodging & Restaurant
GREAT Inn and Restaurant. Stayed 9 nights, all perfect. Clean, nice room with comfy bed, walk-in shower, and great AC. Bottled water issued every day. 2 min walk to ocean. Right in Karon by tons of shops. Excellent on-site restaurant and laundry service. Exceptional service by all staff, especially Philip, who was very engaging and helpful every day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

PREMIUM OPTIONS WE PROVIDE
✓ Fine Dining in Saneha @KaronCafe, good food reasonable prices
✓ Extreme WiFI: As of June 2024 we installed a premium Wifi system same as we use in our 5 star resorts. For those who are technical. Ubiquiti Network, PFSense Gateway, Triple 1 Gbps internet feeds with automatic failover. Each Guest device is allocated 50 mbps of dedicated pipe bandwidth. So our system is suitable for Digital Nomads who need perfect Internet access :-)
You also get many of the amenities of our sister 4 star resort, here's the list:
* Complimentary use of swimming pool and health facilities at our sister 4.5 star resort from 15:00 until Midnight.
* Premium Bedding: 280 Thread count sheets and Luxury Towels provided by Downia Duvet, DreamMaster Mattresses (other guesthouses in the area don't have the buying power to get this quality and price we get so they simply run down to the department store and buy flowery 180 thread count linens).
IMPORTANT FOOTNOTE FOR PROSPECTIVE GUESTS:
* Please kindly note we operate multiple properties in Karon Beach. Our Two Guesthouses are known as Karon Cafe' Inn and Paradise Inn, they are two Buildings within 50 meters of each other connected by the same phone system. They are marketed both separately and together and main reception services are provided at Karon Cafe Inn. In many cases if we have an opportunity to upgrade a Guest we will move the booking to the other property unless you request to have a room only in the property you book. Our most popular rooms are the street view rooms due to the continuous show of activity and nightlife. But we suggest people looking for less street noise request a back side room.

It'll evolve into something good but it's not there yet.
We are two couples who came here direct from the fantastic Pacific Club (please see separate review) which has the same owners. We needed two more nights accommodation after spending a week there (the Pacific Club understandably had no vacancies).
The positives: The staff, all great. The location, but double glazed windows on the street would help with the noise outside which continues at night until about 3am. A night club with a live band is right opposite the hotel. Room 111 is great for people watching, until the band starts up opposite.
The negatives: While we stayed here in our rooms 111 and 112, a jackhammer was used in the next room, all day on 28 July. The renovations began at 6:15 daily and continued until about 5pm. No prior warning issued. Apart from the noise, the cement dust from the jackhammer got everywhere, into our rooms, despite the doors being closed. We wet two bath towels and dusted our room. (See photo). Not good for an asthmatic like myself or indeed anyone else.
Our shower did not drain initially but the hotel responded quickly to remedy this.
Today, departure day (29 July), the jackhammer and associated dust again and no water. So no shower before we leave I guess. This place will likely evolve into something really good given it's Pacific Club connection, but it needs time. It certainly isn't there yet. A jackhammer and paying guests in the two rooms door next door isn't an cceptable combination. That shouldn't happen. .

Located close to the beach and a 7/11, on a street full of restaurants and cafes. Despite the loud exterior the room was sound proofed and had all the expected amenities. The air conditioning worked well and was quiet and the water replenished daily was a nice touch. The reception staff were happy to help with local advice. Overall, very good value for money.
