Great hospitality for our whole stay. Breakfast felt like a home cooked meal from the aunties and the staff went out of their way to ensure a top quality experience. If you are coming to Cappadoccia you would be doing yourself a disservice not staying at the Sunset Cave Hotel.

Authentic little hotel in the rock

Very atmospheric cozy hotel with 8 rooms. The rooms are carved out of the rock, the windows are very small, but this immerses the atmosphere of Goreme. In hot weather, the room is cool without air conditioning (in winter I would refrain from staying here).
We took a “deluxe family suite” room for 2 days for 19,325 rubles on Ostrovok. On the spot we extended it for another day for 83 euros.
Breakfast included: eggs, grilled sausages, French fries, sausage, 5 types of cheese, tomatoes/cucumbers, herbs, olives, tomatoes with eggplant, delicious buns (I usually don’t eat bread, but I couldn’t resist here), butter, different jams types, chocolate-nut butter, 2 types of cereal, 2 types of cakes - carrot is simply excellent, halva, watermelon, plum. Apart from us, only 1 room was occupied, so the breakfast was more modest. But we had a good meal on the beautiful veranda of the restaurant with a stunning view. In the midday heat, we rocked on the sofa in the shade on the veranda.
A very quiet atmospheric place a little away from the noisy main street.
I definitely recommend it

Our stay was great, everything was good. The personal was very nice, they helped us with everything. The breakfast was included and it was good, very variety. The balcony was also very nice, really good views. And the restaurant too. Would definetly recommend. Our room was also good and clean.

Great hotel!

Hotel location is excellent. You can see the air balloons from the balcony easily. The shops are few steps away. Ali and Anas were incredibly hospitable! the breakfast is good. Recommend to stay here! I had the family room with AC! nice clean furniture n bathroom jad a jacuzzi!

You could probably find something better at the same price

I stayed here with another couple just recently .The location beautiful but you had to climb up a steep incline everytime you came back from the market area where all the restaurants etc were .The climb was quite tiring .The breakfast was extremely limited and they didn't offer something as basic as an omelet..only boiled eggs available. The stairs upto my room on the top level were very narrow.Inspite of all this I would still say it was a good option to stay in except for a sour experience with Mr Ali on the last day when he accused my friend of carrying the juice box in the breakfast room to his room ...when I told him he was mistaken and to show me cctv footage of the same then he came up with a story of paper cups being taken by my friend a packet of which was actually left in the room by their cleaning lady.When I got irritated with him and asked him what on earth he thought we would do with paper cups then he backtracked and said they had had some issues with their staff earlier also and made the staff was at fault. After that he started complaining about the fact that we had booked balloon rides ,atv,tours ,transportation etc all on our own .What I felt was that this was the main crux of his irritation as he was probably expecting us to give him some of that business. Over all a good stay but marred at the end by that conversation
