Хорошее место . Очень уютно и по домашнему. Хозяева вежливые и очень культурные . Нам очень понравилось посоветовали где вкусно и не дорого поесть , куда сходить и что посмотреть . Очень приятные .

The dirtiest hostel ever i have seen
The "Gulsara" hostel it is not that thing that they show you on the pictures. The administrator and director ... were the same woman by name Lola . When I had been in Samarkand with my friend in summer time, the weather was horrly hot. Me and my friend we went to "Gulsara" hostel. we took a room for 20 US for each of us per a night. so we paied for two days straightly (80 US).
When we got into the room there was no AC the beds were terrrebly dirty the room itself was so dirty. We came down and asked for the room with AC but she said it cost more money. So we said for 20 US it should has AC as other hostels. She was rude and we asked our mnoney back but she said that she cannot back our money. For sure she did not want it. After i said that we want to leave she gave us another room with AC but this room was more dirty than the first one: dirty shelves, beds, blankets.... oh my gosh. I asked with a smile could you easly clean it , she said ok but did not do it. Ourselves cleaned the room and put our bags. After a long jurney When i wanted take a shower I found that there was not a warm water and the bathroom O my God there was extremaly dirty. So the next day we moved from "Gulsara" hostel anyway she did not back our 40 $.
I am writting this for you my dear friends to not rpeat our mistakes.

WE NEVER RENT OUT UNCLEANEDROOMS.oUR HOSTEL IS DECORATED IN AN OLD STTYLE.,THERE ARE PAINTINGS,iT IS LOCATED IN THE HISTORICALCENTER OF SAMARKAND . WESERVE DELICIOUS BREAKFASTS.WE TRY TO MAINTAIN CLEANLINNES AND ORDER.IT IS COZY.DONT FALL FOR THE BAIT OF PROVOCATEURS AND ILL-WESHERS.

Dirty and noisy hostel. Disrespectful host.
During centuries until now, Samarkand was a well-known place for its hospitality. This hostel is not a worthy representative of this quality. We spent 1 night instead of 3, then flew away from the filth and lack of respect. We found another hostel, a great place for the same price (Hostel 129). Please find below examples of our horrible experience:
-Toilet: filthy, broken and leaks. Spider webs. Toilet paper of the worst quality, and anyway lack of it.
-Sink: only one available for 8 people (possibly 10 people); stinked.
-Frying (early morning and evening): bad smell in the whole hostel and greasy marks on the ground
-The towels smelled bad
-Noisy street
-Cameras in the hostel: no trust?
-Disrespectful host: morbid curiosity, value judgements
The owner/host even said that she would not clean after everybody, the tourists must clean! Why do we pay her? In every hostel/hotel in the world, a cleaner is hired to do this job... I wouldn't be surprised if the owner/host will answer in a dishonest, manipulative way. To any tourist or traveler: don't consider and go on your way!

This woman and her boyfriend are Moldovanimmigrants whoi spwak excellent Russian.They checked into the hostel specifically to leave a bad review.

Хороший хостел с очень гостеприимной хозяйкой
Приехали из Таджикистана уставшие. Тут нас приняла очень добрая и интересная тётя Лола, с которой всегда приятно поговорить, которая подскажет, где можно сделать прививки, где сдать пцр и поможет с отсальными бытовыми вопросами. Тут нас и кормят, и поят чаем, могут постирать и погладить одежду. Кровати чистые и удобные, спальню греет печка. Спится отлично! Горячая вода есть. А за одну минуту можно дойти до главной площади города Регистан.
Не понимаю, почему тут стоят отрицательные отзывы, по мне этот хостел очень хорош!
P.s. Такое ощущение, что оба отзыва ниже написаны одним человеком. Всё, что написано в этих комментариях - не правда. Это самый чистый хостел, в котором я был.
